All Music Guide Review

Terry Lee Brown Jr. obviously knows a thing or two about putting together a fine slab of house. Deep, sexy, and packing plenty of funk, Terry's Café, Vol. 2 has all the qualities of a great night out in an underground club. The mixing is not as tight as some might prefer, but it never is on laid-back sets such as this. Danny Tenaglia's popular "Music Is the Answer" opens the proceedings, but there are better cuts to look forward to. "Machine Chose" (Lidl Ed Atac) and "Do You Feel Alright" (Klatsch!) both come to mind in that respect. Then there's "Turn It to the House" by Minimal Funk, a crisp funk track guaranteed to get things moving on the dancefloor. Korben Dallas' fine "Ingredients of Jazz," on the other hand, is soft and subtle. Many of the other tracks might be a little tough to digest at first, but they will grow on you after a few spins. ~ David Peter Wesolowski, All Music Guide
