Deeper Rhythms is a collection of club-oriented dance music exclusively featuring American artists, with its rhythms rooted in disco, house, and early techno. Diva CeCe Peniston is probably the biggest name here, but names aren't really important; what is important is the groove, and the album does keep that pumping steadily, although this may strike some listeners as being more suitable for clubs than for home listening. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
