Rockapella

Rockapella's aptly titled sophomore effort, Rockapella 2, is as fresh as ever. The charming quintet introduces 11 brand new tracks and it's sheer enjoyment. The sweet melodies of the ballad-esque "People Change" and the candied vocals of "That's the Way" highlight Rockapella's tight vocal union, and the group's a cappella is vibrant. Their own funkdafied version of Squeeze's "Tempted" highlights Rockapella's beat-boxing skills and a soulful disposition, and "Doorman of My Heart" marks similar appeal. Not overly emotional or cheeky, Rockapella is one of the finer vocal groups to emerge during the new millennium.
