An excellent compilation for an excellent cause. Equality and peace are the themes of Plea for Peace as each contributor donates a track that benefits the organization of the same name. Equally important is the music as the high energy of punk and ska are combined to attract an audience that will listen and contribute in the fight against racism. It mostly features previously released tracks, but the highlights of Chris Murray (traditional Jamaican ska), MU330, Link 80, Big D and the Kids Table (distorted ska-punk), Alkaline Trio, the Honor System, and the Smoking Popes (emotionally fueled pop-punk) inspire hope of an eventual melting pot. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
