Stylish baritone Walter Jackson could give the silliest song reverence. Thankfully, he didn't record novelties, but he's also never been as far MOR as this Carl Davis production, originally released in 1981. The voice wails on Billy Always' "Come to Me," gets emotional on Michael Zager's "What If I Walked out on You," and sparkles on Eugene Record's "Tell Me Where It Hurts" and Stevie Wonder's "If It's Magic." The rest are elevator music selections (albeit, good elevator music). ~ Andrew Hamilton, All Music Guide
