High Time is never going to top anyone's list of the best musicals (or comedies or Bing Crosby films) ever made, but it's an engaging and modest little film. It also has an innocence and naïveté to it that is rather refreshing -- and quite rare for a Blake Edwards picture. Still, it's admittedly slight, the kind of "high concept" film that too often coasts along on its concept without ever expanding on it.
