Joni Mitchell is backed by a distinguished group of jazz musicians: Pat Metheny (guitar), Jaco Pastorius (bass), Lyle Mays (keyboards), Michael Brecker (saxophone), and Don Alias (drums). A cappella group The Persuasions provide backup vocals on two songs.
