Sad to say, despite the promise of the cast, this is a not-very-inventive entry in the Boogie Man Next Door genre. The ickiness piles up in an orderly manner, causing nausea in place of tension, and the expected finale is hastily dispatched, robbing the patient viewer of any satisfaction. Known-quantities Theresa Russell, Sean Young, and James Russo bring as much character to their roles as they can, but there just isn't very much of a distance for them to go.
