Semi-Pro had a lot of potential. At this point, Will Ferrell and sports comedies go together like Robert DeNiro and mafia movies. See Talladega Nights and Kicking and Screaming for proof of Ferrell's sports schlock gold. However, Semi-Pro lacks the laughs that those films touted.
