Remember the Daze is a strange little pastiche of a film. It's about a bunch of high schoolers on their last day before the summer of 1999 kicks off. The puzzle pieces don't always fit seamlessly, but it ultimately doesn't matter, because Daze is one of the first films to deeply explore the desolation teens faced in the late '90s. The film takes a magnifiying glass to the characters' lives, and, rather than exploiting them, it chronicles their unique trials and tribulations on a hot June day. ...more
