Mondo headphone fans can rock out with their hoods up, thanks to Betabrand's new Audio Engineer's hoodie. Fashionable and functional. Huzzah!
The hood's flanks are fabricated out of speaker cloth, enabling owners to wear headphones atop their hooded heads, with no fear of acoustic interference. How cool, right? Tune everyone and everything out, if you can.
The hoodie is designed by audio engineer Nic Pope, who successfully funded the apparel piece via Betabrand's crowd design platform. It reached its goal in under a day and audiophile interest is high.
In addition to the acoustically transparent hood, music fans will appreciate a slew of details designed by Mr. Pope, such as: twin kangaroo pockets, with headphone pass-through holes; internal pull-out wiring diagram; loop to clips your multi-tool/drum key on; and a cassette liner.
Nerdy, but rad!
According to Betabrand founder Chris Lindland, "Headphones are now trending to be the size of spare tires. Rather than make increasingly large hoods to accommodate them, the Audio Engineer's Hoodie enables headphones to grow and grow."
The hoodie is available only at Betabrand. Visit betabrand.com to order.
