Happy Hump Day, ARTISTdirectioners. We have teamed up with Complicated Animals to premiere their song "Phoenix" from In This Game, out February 10. [iTunes link]
"I woke up with the idea for 'Phoenix' in my head. I've always felt very drawn to the story of the Phoenix, because it is such a strong symbol of rebirth. We weren't sure how we were going to produce this at first, but after playing around with some piano sounds, Chad came up with the idea to do something grainy and repetitive, almost like a sampled hip-hop track," Monica da Silva of Complicated Animals told us.
