It's time for a "Shakedown."
ARTISTdirect is stoked to partner with Colorado-based, blues-fusion band Musketeer Gripweed, who have the oddest and coolest name, to premiere their song "New World Shakedown" from Floods and Fires, out April 11.
Some intel about the track? Well, "New World Shakedown" features Erik Berry from Trampled by Turtles.
Some intel about the band? We have that, too!
Musketeer Gripweed simply explode onstage with the energy and fervor of a revival preacher out to save a filthy sinner's soul. That's intense, and so is their music. This group of highly accomplished musicians, however, isn't about pushing religion, unless, of course, your religion is drinking, dancing and some damn good music. Rather, they're about creating "American revival, stomp-ass, shake and holla" music.
That's always a cause we can get down with.
With that in mind, enjoy the song.
