Exclusive Video Premiere: Cobi Mike, "Walking Through the Fire"

It's time to waltz through a blaze.
We're "Walking Through the Fire" with Cobi Mike today, premiering his video for the song of the same name.
Sure, he sings about strutting through a blaze, figuratively, of course, but what brings the heat is his voice and the track. The song is a mix of alt and pop.
Cobi Mike hangs out—more like wanders, sometimes while naked—in the desert (and with a ballerina, at one point) throughout the course of the video, which offers up powerful visuals. What's it all about? Find out by watching.
There's blood. There's fire. There's a chess game with a bearded sage. There's also a bare butt… since there is naked desert wandering. Not all who wander are lost, though!
Cobi Mike recently exited Gentleman Hall in order to release his first solo project arose from his desire to rediscover his voice and share his personal message.

In 2008, the singer-songwriter helped form the unique Boston musical collective Gentlemen Hall, which quickly catapulted to success.
Coming off their 2014 tour, which found them playing alongside acclaimed musicians Young the Giant, Cee Lo Green, The All-American Rejects, OneRepublic and Beyoncé, Cobi Mike decided to leave Gentlemen Hall to release his first EP.
He branched out on his own and we're glad that he did.
The EP, features a collection of heartfelt and authentic songs with an emotional rawness. Combining acoustic and electronic elements, the opening track "Walking Through the Fire" embodies a powerful metaphor of transformation while holding on to hope even in life’s darkest moments.
"'Walking Through the Fire' is about embracing the changes in life no matter how hard they may be. Only by accepting and going through the pain can real growth occur," Cobi Mike told us about the track. "The music video depicts hallucinations, each one representing a different challenge on the path to self-discovery."
Self-discovery, like pimpin', ain't easy. But we have to go through the fire that is life and emerge unscatched and not singed!.
