Here is a good –no, make that GREAT—cause we need to let you know about it.
Keeping Babies Safe is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that provides education and leadership in keeping babies safe from preventable injuries and deaths associated with unsafe cribs, dangerous infant products and unsafe sleep environments!
Keeping Babies Safe, www.keepingbabiessafe.org, is holding its Annual 5k Run/Walk on Sunday, September 29, 2013 to raise money for outreach educational programs. The org educates parents, caregivers, hospital personnel, health and human services and other professional on our safe sleep programs to implement in their dissemination programs.
They have donated 8,000 cribs to families nationwide and will continue to expand. Your donations are an important part of this process.
The walk takes place at Harry Dunham Park at 490 Somerville Road, Basking Ridge, New Jersey 07920.
"We launched Keeping Babies Safe after my son Garret passed away because of an unsafe sleep environment," says President of Keeping Babies Safe Joyce Davis. "Safe cribs and sleep safety knowledge is the best defense against unsafe cribs and sleeping conditions. More than 11 million cribs, bassinets and play yards have been recalled in the past few years. Keeping Babies Safe will continue to work as an advocate and information resource for parents to ensure that cribs and sleeping environments for children remain safe. We will work tirelessly so that no one will lose a child due to an unsafe crib and sleeping environment."
We can't think of a better cause to support – keep our babies safe everyone!
Can you spread the word, even if you're not in N.J.?
