Get ready for the weekend a bit early with "Weekend" by alt band Priory from Portland.
They are newly signed to WBR. What a dreamy, awesome song that expands as it extends and has one helluva build up! This song should take you into all remaining weekends this summer. Make a pact with yourself and pledge to listen to it every Thursday and/or Friday through Labor Day. That’s an ORDER!
What do you need to know about Priory? Well, Brandon Rush and Kyle Sears met while living in a flophouse in Portland, sold everything they had (including blood), built a studio in an old cement factory and made a record that sounds like it was done in a million dollar facility. What you hear below is basically their demo. And it's awesome. If a demo is this good, imagine what everything else they do will sound like? We're intrigued and now caught in the Priory net.
