Former Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, who played the delightfully dastardly Edie Britt on the sudser, is sticking it to ABC Entertainment Group, ABC Studios, Touchstone Television and series creator Marc Cherry. The actress is asking for a ballsy $20 million in damages, claiming that she was physically assaulted by Cherry and fired when she complained about it. Things are about to get uglier than any Wisteria Lane drama!
The complaint was filed earlier this week in Los Angeles Superior Court by attorneys Mark Baute and Patrick Maloney. Sheridan is claiming that Cherry struck her in the head in September 2008 on the set of the hit ABC series. She says she was terminated after she complained about the incident. ABC is of course responding that the suit and claims are merit-less.
