No one does Halloween like Universal does.
Their annual Halloween Horror Nights is bar none the best way for fright-seekers to experience their favorite horror flicks at Universal Studios Hollywood on October 2-3, 9-11, 15-18, 23-25, 28-31.
For the uninitiated, the Universal Studios Theme Park stays open long after dark and transforms into a veritable playground of terror. This year, mazes allow visitors to get face-to-face with iconic killers ranging from Saw's Jigsaw to Child's Play's Chucky and Michael Myers. Screams will be felt all throughout Southern California because no matter where you go in the park something will jump out and remind you you're in Hell. Plus, you can even go on all of the park's rides, and there's nothing better than the Simpsons ride at midnight, nothing.
This year things get even sicker with Universal's Chiller Eyegore Awards. The ceremony will feature a veritable "who's who" of cinema's favorite ghouls from Rob Zombie to Tobin Bell, plus it'll honor numerous horror maestros. Make sure to catch all of this. It's like trick or treating for evil and getting a pumpkin full of it!
Horror Nights is the most fun you'll have this Halloween.
To survive, here's what you need—an iron will, tissues, comfortable shoes, a bandanna to stop bleeding, a bulletproof vest, a chainsaw and some heavy metal (preferably Slayer). Get rockin' through the terror tram, mazes and Simpsons ride (at midnight) starting October 2nd.
This is the best way to spend October in LA, minus holding your own séance or witch trial.
