Ace of Base gets a 21st century makeover from New Jersey production outfit and fiery (literally) singer.
New Jersey natives Justina Valentine and The Bravos joined forces for a remix of bona fide dance floor banger "Faded." Now, The Bravos' take on the track seamlessly merges numerous flavors of electronic music from a sputtering funked-up soul into a shaky hip-hop bounce. The production itself practically sizzles, strutting along through danceable bleeps and bloops making the glitch move to its whims. It doesn't sound like anything else out in the clubs or at festivals, and that's why it racked up over 237K plays on Soundcloud in a mere week's time. This is a complete indie initiative, mind you, and that's extremely impressive.
The Bravos are a powerhouse collective of producers Knaledge, Re4lity, Grammy Award-nominated Breed, and Oliver Grey who came together like the X-Men of studio impresarios and they're churning out some seriously catchy jams. Meanwhile, red-headed diva Justina Valentine showcases her potent voice throughout the track, especially as soon as that mammoth hook takes hold before breaking into a breathy bridge. They transform Ace of Base's "All That She Wants" into a 21st century romp of the highest order.
You've really just got to hear it for yourself. This stands poised to become a gigantic summer club anthem.
