Reuters reports that American Media Inc, the publisher of gossip rags like National Enquirer and Star, as well as body-conscious magazines like Men's Fitness, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Wednesday.
A quick restructuring is expected for the company, which has offices in New York and Boca Raton, Florida. The company has said it expects to emerge from Chapter 11 within 60 days of filing.
