The premise behind the Sing Me a Story program is that it give kids in children's hospitals, children's homes and hospice organizations around the world the chance to write and illustrate stories about anything they want.
SMAS distributes those stories to songwriters of any kind who turn them into songs, record them and send them back to the kids and families via their program. It all takes place online and you can see what they are up to at SingMeAStory.org.
The org recently added a new SMAS Jukebox feature which allows songwriters and artists to crowdsource and engage their audiences around charitable giving!
Visit singmeastory.org for more details.
Also, here's how it works:
Artist WRITES a song. Artist UPLOADS the song to SMAS. Artist SHARES the song with fans and encourages them to contribute to the song's Jukebox!
Spread the word!
