Get overwhelmed in a current of tension.
Survival Guide, the brainchild of Emily Whitehurst, is premiering the video for "Way to Go" from the album of the same name, out now, with us today!
"It's a visual representation of me being totally overwhelmed and feeling in over my head before remembering that our lives can only be as positive as we perceive them to be," said the California-based vocalist and keyboardist.
Survival Guide's music falls somewhere between indie rock and electronic, always with descriptive, storytelling lyrics, strong vocals and a sprinkle of pop. It's achingly beautiful stuff and "Way to Go" is lead by Whitehurst's dreamy, emotive voice, which oozes emotion from every note and each and every time she opens her mouth. We likey. A lot.
"Way to Go" is erected on a current of tension... does it get resolved? You will have to watch and listen to find out. We are not going to give everything away.
"Go" with Survival Guide.
