Vin Diesel will star in The Wheelman, a car film for Paramount. John Singleton is scheduled to direct the movie, which is a live-action adaptation of a video game that launched last month. Car films are obviously familiar territory for Diesel, who just starred in last month'sFast & Furious,which was number one during its opening week at the box office.
Diesel will play an expert driver who comes out of retirement in order to protect a woman fromhis past. Paramount has been involved in the project since 2006. It's worth noting that Singleton directed2 Fast 2 Furious, which Diesel opted not to appear in. —The ARTISTdirect Staff
