Jay Mel, the Ohio native, has delivered the anticipated video to the synth-driven, infectious "Live it Up." The video is a part of the Live It Up campaign, which offers contests, free downloads, new videos, live performances and more. Check it all out on .
Jay Mel got his start when Ohio's local radio station, Jamz 101.9, held a contest for "Best Local Rapper." Jay submitted a blazing cut called "Envy" and won by a landslide. As his prize for winning, the station flew him to New York for a meeting with Island Def Jam.
Unfortunately, that didn't amount to what he hoped, as it took place during the time of major executive changes, but it was that meeting that inspired the creation of his first official mixtape Who is Jay Mel. The mixtape caught a flurry of attention because of it's fresh and fiery sound. It was hip-hop and was equally pop—it is simply Jay Mel.
