Eddie Vedder won a Golden Globe for best original song ("Guaranteed," from the Sean Penn film Into the Wild) at a Hollywood press conference last night. The Pearl Jam frontman was last nominated in 2003—for the Big Fish song "Man of the Hour," which lost to Annie Lennox's Lord of the Rings jam, "Into the West." Other music-related nods at the muted proceedings were Sweeney Todd (best comedy or musical), Johnny Depp (best actor in a comedy or musical for Sweeney Todd, his first win after seven previous nominations), Marion Cotillard (best actress in a comedy or musical for La Vie en Rose), and Dario Marianella (best original score for Atonement).
