Over the weekend, baseball's first pitch was thrown out, and teams took the field for the first time this season. Among those most excited for the new campaign are the Chicago Cubs who ended their 108-year World Series drought last year. Among their many faithful fans is Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, who even teamed up with Bill Murray for a sing-along during last year's stressful final series. Now Vedder has once again joined up with the Cubs, this time to craft a jingle for the fictional Bryzzo Souvenir Company.

A mash-up of Cubs sluggers' Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo's last names, Bryzzo co. specializes in delivering souvenir baseballs to fans via home runs. "We put the ding in dingers," proclaim the duo. In order to expand their business they realize they need a song, and who better to pen it than Vedder. With no surprise, Pearl Jam's leading man nails the tagline, singing, "Kiss it goodbye, that ball was Bryzzo-ed."

Later this month, Pearl Jam will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On April 29th, Vedder will join Cubs president Theo Epstein at his annual Hot Stove Cool Music benefit concert in Boston. The season may just be getting started, but it's clear the Cubs and Vedder are still in celebration mode after last year's championship, the only question remaining is just where and when Bill Murray will make his first appearance.
