Katy Perry employed a theme park worth of people in pastel clothing for "Chained to the Rhythm", which also features Skip Marley. And while Lana Del Rey's video for "Love" may not take on the ridiculous scale of Katy Perry's, but it's still a glowing spectacle of its own.
Future has been all over the headlines for the last two weeks, dropping not one, but two surprise new albums. This week he dropped the video for "Super Trapper", which shows him reaping the rewards. Talking about reaping riches, The Weeknd's video for "Reminder" has just about everything a young man might want. And that was only the beginning for a week filled with stunning new eye candy.
Here are our favorites:
Katy Perry — "Chained to the Rhythm" [ft. Skip Marley]
"Chained to the Rhythm" may seem like just another pop song, but after watching the video, it's easy to see the dangers of just going along to the beat. It's a massive display that's one part Pleasantville, one part hamster wheel, and all parts awesome.
Lana Del Rey — "Love"
Lana Del Rey is literally glowing throughout "Love". And why shouldn't she be? It's a beautiful video that takes on both past and present, exposing the similarities often not seen or discussed between decades.
Future — "Super Trapper"
Future is living the highlife right now, and he deserves it, over the past year or so, he has been one of the hardest working men in music — just this month alone he's dropped two seventeen track studio albums. The only other rapper in the game with a similar output is another one of his Atlanta brethren, Gucci Mane. What does Future have to show for the all that effort? Just watch "Super Trapper".
The Weeknd — "Reminder"
Beautiful women, expensive cars, exquisite lofts, Drake, fire, private planes, a helicopter, The Weeknd's video for "Reminder" reminds you what a rap video should look like. The man even lights the Hollywood Sign on fire.
Band of Horses — "In a Drawer"
Band of Horses' video for "In a Drawer" may seem a bit odd at first, but in the end, it's heartwarming. It has all the coziness of a nostalgia shop filled with your own memories.
