Guns N' Roses' ridiculously-delayed (it's been 14 years now, guys) Chinese Democracy LP was leaked in part by Antiquiet.com yesterday, leading to a quick cease-and-desist order from the band's reps. Nine "mastered, finished" cuts snuck out for a second, including three previously unheard jams: "Rhiad and the Bedouins," "If the World" and an as-yet-untitled effort. The six other selections ("Better," "The Blues," the title track, "Madagascar," "IRS," "There Was a Time") have been heard in unfinished forms before, but these new versions clearly have new touches to them, including the organ and tambourine touches on "IRS" and the layered chorus section of "Madagascar."
According to Billboard.com, Chinese Democracy was last set for a March 2007 release in Interscope's schedule. A new management deal with Irving Azoff and Andy Gould—two of the industry's major movers/shakers—was supposed to lead to "further negotiations," but nothing has been confirmed for 2008 yet. G N' R's last album, The Spaghetti Incident?, came out in 1993.
