Kanye West has gone all Commodore 64 on us with the announcement of his "Glow in the Dark" tour, a powerhouse outing complete with a Star Wars/Daft Punk-esque concert poster and supporting sets from Lupe Fiasco, N.E.R.D. and Rihanna. Dates are TBD still, but we can tell you West is working on his dance moves with Madonna choreographer Jamie King.
"A lot of people want to be too cool onstage," he told Billboard last summer after being asked why hip-hop tours don't sell tickets. "I do an hour-and-a-half with no hype man, running around onstage. The touring can only get better because the longer a song's out, the more people get into it."
One thing that might make people 'get into it' is an impromptu performance from Child Rebel Soldie (a.k.a. CRS), a supergroup trio featuring West, Fiasco, and Pharrell Williams. Their only known track, the Thom Yorke-sampling "US Placers," was a hit on the Web last summer. Oh by the way, N.E.R.D.'s long-awaited next album, N.3.R.D., is expected in stores sometime in the first half of 2008.
