West spoke to the the crowd; "Toronto, I got one question for you ... Is you all ready for this album? " he asked the audience. "I'm not talking about Pablo. I'm not talking about Views. I want to ask y'all, y'all ready for this album?"
Further to West's announcement, Drake also came center stage to address the crowd, and confirm a new collaborative album. "What my brother was asking before was, are you ready if we make an album?" he told the crowd. "That's what he was asking."
According to the Twitter account Team Kanye Daily, Yeezy announced that he and Drake are working on an album together. Drake's OVO Sound Radio confirmed that the album will be released this year.
This isn't the first time these two have teased a collaborative album: In early 2015, Kanye told radio morning show The Breakfast Club he and Drake were working together on a project called Wolves. Presumably the "Wolves" that made it on The Life Of Pablo was part of that Kanye/Drake album at one point, which would fit with this year's rumors that an early version of the track featured Drake and Björk rather than Vic Mensa and Sia. And around the time Pablo dropped, Kanye thanked Drake for helping with "Father Stretch My Hands" and tweeted that he had new material with Drake and Future "dropping soon."
What remains to be seen is if the album will be released via TIDAL or Apple Music. Each artist have kept their recent releases exclusive to their preferred platform - Drake on Apple and West on TIDAL. Drake was one of the names West recently called out to help resolve the beef between the two services.
