Pitchfork reported, Kim "revealed snippets of the footage via her Snapchat story. See that below. On a phone conversation with Swift in the studio, Kanye raps "For all the south side n****s that know me best/I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" to her and asks her what she thinks about it. "I think this is a really cool thing to have," West says. "I know, it's like a compliment, kind of," Swift replies. "Yeah, I mean, what's dope about the line is it's very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that's really nice."
"I just had a responsibility to you as a friend, you know, and thanks for being so cool about it," West says. "For you to ask me if I'd be okay with it, I really appreciate it. I'd never expect you to tell me about a line in your song," Taylor says. "Relationships are more important than punchlines, you know," West says. Later in the video, Swift says, "And I'm really glad you had the respect to call me that and tell me that as a friend, about the song. It's just a really cool thing to do, a really good show of friendship. So thank you. And you know, if people ask me about it, I think it would be great for me to be like, 'Look, he called me and told me about the line before it came out. Joke's on you guys, we're fine.' You guys wanna call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade, but right after the song comes out, I'm gonna be on a Grammy red carpet and they're gonna ask me about it, and I'm gonna be like, 'He called me.' It's…awesome that you're so outspoken and it's gonna be like, 'Yeah, she does, it made her famous!'""
However, since the release of the videos, Taylor has responded via an Instagram post, saying "Where is the video of Kanye telling me he was going to call me 'that b****' in his song? It doesn't exist because it never happened. You don't get to control someone else's emotional response to being called 'that b****' in front of the entire world." She goes on to say that Kanye never played her the entire song before its release and that he is committing "character assassination."
It has now been revealed by TMZ that months ago Swift threatened West with legal action if he were to ever reveal the footage. It is illegal in the state of California to record a phone call without the other party's knowledge.
