After surpassing 10 million streams and receiving critical acclaim, with V Magazine asserting “Kiiara has struck gold once again,” Kiiara’s latest hit “Messy” is getting the R3HAB treatment in an all new remix, out today. Listen to R3HAB’s fresh take on ”Messy”.
In a huge show of support, and as a testament to the overwhelmingly positive feedback of the song, Spotify has just added ‘Messy” to their coveted Today’s Top Hits playlist, which is sure to keep momentum going strong.
“This song is something familiar to so many people,” Kiiara says. It’s about ending it before someone gets hurt. Not getting into a relationship or calling it one because that’s when you start to become emotionally invested. It ends up going nowhere because you’re scared to feel those emotions. Falling for someone is scary and it’s not something you anticipate, it just happens when you least expect it.”
“Messy” was written by Noah Conrad, Jacob Torrey, Sasha Sloan & Roland Spreckly and produced by Noah Conrad.
“Messy” follows Kiiara’s 2018 Billboard Music Award nomination for Top Rock Song with “Heavy,” her duet with Linkin Park. Kiiara’s debut single “Gold,” which has garnered more than 500 million streams, broke the Top 5 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart and went on to reach RIAA multiplatinum certification.
One of Spotify's Top 5 most-streamed independent artists, R3HAB has shaped the boundaries of what it means to be a musician in today's electronic music realm. A multi-faceted producer and DJ, R3HAB has built his success on his own terms throughout his career, ranking in the Top 50 of Billboard's Dance Artists of 2018 and amassing over 12 million monthly listeners and one million subscribers on Spotify alone. Over the past year, the musician has released a number of acclaimed singles including "Lullaby," "I Just Can't," "The Wave," "Trouble," and "Hold On Tight" - the latter of which served as a record-breaking debut for R3HAB and vocalist Conor Maynard, debuting on all New Music Friday's worldwide on Spotify and hitting over seven million streams across all platforms within the first two weeks. After the release of 2017's debut full-length album Trouble, which garnered over 200 million streams worldwide, this year sees R3HAB remaining a must-see musician across the global club circuit and releasing his anticipated follow up album this summer.
