Lil Wayne has set a tentative June 9 release date for his next disc, Rebirth. The first single, "Prom Queen," starts streaming on the rapper's MySpace page today. It'll also appear on AT&T's FREEdom of Choice and Mobile Music Facebook pages at 9:40 p.m. PST tomorrow, as the song is streamed live from a concert in San Diego. Afterwards, a "Prom Queen" ringtone will be available to AT&T customers through a text or AT&T Media Mail.
According to Wayne's publicist, his new record is not related to his Tha Carter series, or any previous albums for that matter. It is, however, his rock ‘n' roll record.
"I might want to hear a certain sound like Prince, but I can't pay him to play it," Wayne told Billboard. "So, I picked up a guitar and learned how to play it."
