Producer Darius Harrison (AKA Deezle) has filed a lawsuit against Young Money Entertainment and Cash Money Records, claiming that he has not received his share of the royalties from sales of Lil Wayne's hit song "Lollipop" from Weezy's Tha Carter III. $20 mil is a lot of scratch.
According to TMZ, the $20 million lawsuit claims that Deezle is entitled to his cut of royalties on the reported $70 million the album has grossed. The liner notes of Tha Carter III do list Harrison as a co-producer, alongside Jim Jonsin, on "Lollipop." Deezle is also noted as the recording engineer on most of the other songs on the album.
This is not the first time Deezle has gone after Weezy's wallet. He sued the rapper for $2.5 million over what he claimed were unpaid royalties from the sales of another hit song, "Mrs. Officer."
Damn. The Deezy/Weezle, or whatever mash up name you'd like to give them, feud rages on.Team Weezy or Team Deezle?
