Lil Wayne Hospitalized for Seizures, Again

In 2013, Lil Wayne was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, California after a series of seizures, and spent multiple days in the Intensive Care Unit. Then again in 2016, he was forced to cancel an appearance at the E3 Expo due to two minor episodes.
Wayne has described himself as an epileptic, but while many speculate the health issues may stem from his famous use of codeine and cough syrup, Weezy puts the blame on his self-imposed work ethic, saying "the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That's just typical me though."
Doctors at Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital argued against releasing Lil Wayne after a short stay, forcing the cancelled Vegas show. On short notice, Drai's Beachclub was able to replace Weezy with Atlanta, Georgia, rapper T.I., who performed with DJ Franzen. The venue released a statement via Twitter announcing the switch and wishing Lil Wayne well:
"Due to unforeseen circumstances Lil Wayne will be canceling his previously scheduled performance tonight at Drai's Nightclub located at the Cromwell Hotel. In lieu of his absence T.I. will be performing in his place alongside DJ Franzen for another installment of Sundrais. Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money / Maverick team are valued partners and members of the Drai's LIVE family. Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai's wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time. Doors for TIP tonight will open at 10:30 PM."
