Rejoice, because Weezy is coming to one of America's most accessible department stores. Beginning June 1, Lil Wayne's apparel line TRUKFIT will be available at select Macy's locations across the country and Macy's.com. Fans will be able to purchase a wide range of TRUKFIT's signature t-shirts, sweatshirts and caps. TRUKFIT is available in men's and boy's sizes at a moderate price point.
Launched to positive press reception in January 2012 at Agenda Long Beach, TRUKFIT is a contemporary street wear line that draws influence from many aspects of pop culture including music, street art and action sports. An acronym that takes its name from the values The Reason You Kill For It, Trukfit's style philosophy overlooks trends, rather placing a sharp focus on comfort, durability, quality fabrics, bold graphics and the perfect fit.
"Trukfit is a state of mind," says Mike Morris, Trukfit brand director. "It is about being oneself, having fun, being free and being able to express all these elements. We are thrilled to be able to offer Trukfit at Macy's, an iconic retailer with as much as energy and heart as our brand. In honor of this exciting announcement, Lil Wayne will make a special appearance at the Macy's at the Beverly Center in Los Angeles with his close friend, professional skateboarder Stevie Williams, one of the most buzzed about and respected skateboarders in the country. Stevie, who has been skateboarding since age 11, is the sole founder, owner and rider of the skate company DGK, now also available at Macy's.
Beginning Thursday, May 31, the first 150 fans to purchase $75.00 USD worth of TRUKFIT product, DGK product or combination of both TRUKFIT and DGK, at Macy's Beverly Center will be able to attend a meet and greet with Lil Wayne and Stevie Williams on June 1 at the Macy's Beverly Center. The first 10 fans to purchase $150.00 USD of TRUKFIT, DGK or combination of both brands at Macy's Beverly Center will be able to attend a special reception prior to the meet and greet on June 1 at Macy's Beverly Center.
