Nothing, not even jail, can stop rapper Lil Wayne from communicating with his fans. Weezy and his label Young Money Entertainment have kicked off the site, a blogging forum where the rappers letters from the can will be posted. The rapper is serving a sentence for gun possession at Riker's Island. If he exhibits good behavior, Lil Wayne could be released as soon as seven months.
In the first letter published, Wayne states "we're all living on borrowed time" and that he is "not worried about the situation." He discussed life behind bars and said he'll eventually be blogging for ESPN, as well. He also replied to fan letters that he received while imprisoned. The site encourages fans to send letters and his prison address is posted on the site, which also sells "Free Weezy" t-shirts. Weezy said he will answer as many letters as he can while in jail. Good way to kill time, no? It's a brilliant publicity and marketing strategy for the rapper to stay in the public's consciousness via the web!
If you were to write Lil Wayne a letter in prison, what would you say to him?
