XXL reports that Wayne performed four songs, including his verses from French Montana's "Pop That" and Gucci Mane's "We Be Steady Mobbin'," before singing towards the side of the stage, "Don't you ever call me to do this s*** again. Don't you, ever, ever, ever, ask me to do this s*** again." Before completing the next song, Wayne walked offstage and didn't return.
Event host High Times, released a statement addressing Wayne's unexpected early departure. "We have no idea why, after a stellar performance by B.o.B, Lil Wayne suddenly ended his performance after just four songs when he was contractually committed to performing for an hour for the fans. We are truly baffled by why Lil Wayne would do this in front of thousands of Cannabis Cup attendees – in total disregard for his fans – and are awaiting an explanation from his team."
Lil Wayne has not commented on his decision to leave his scheduled performance, but fans have been voicing their disappointment regarding the rapper's set in the comments of Wayne's Instagram post promoting the event.
