Top Albums Of The Week - March 19-25

It wasn't only big names unveiling their newest work either. Eric Bachmann of Archers of Loaf released his self-titled debut. K. Michelle unveiled her true-to-form R&B styles on More Issues Than Vogue. The Thermals also dropped their long-awaited seventh album, We Disappear. And now that we're finally through the first major music event of the year, we can all get back to focusing on albums.

Bayonne - Primitives - Mom+Pop

It may have taken five years and dozens of field recordings for Roger Sellers to put together Primitives, but it was well worth it. ARTISTdirect caught up with Bayonne to discuss Primitives.

White Denim - Stiff - Downtown

White Denim are pretty much the standard when it comes to cool music coming out of Texas. For years, they have been at the top of the blogger world. SBTRKT - Save Yourself - Young Turks

SBTRKT has been teasing new music all week, but little did we know it was all a well-crafted plan for the surprise release of Save Yourself. Besides collaborations with The-Dream, Sampha, and D.R.A.M., SBTRKT's surprise release is the kind of music you just want to share with others and that's exactly what Aaron Jerome wanted.

Father - I'm A Piece Of S*** - Awful Records

Father may lead a debaucherous lifestyle filled with many regrettable morning afters, but I'm A Piece Of S*** comes off as thoughtful. It reminds us over-imbibed nights come with a price, and there is no one to blame but ourselves.

Bob Mould - Patch The Sky - Merge Records

Bob Mould is not new to the scene. He played with Husker Du in the 80s, Sugar in the 90s, and has now released thirteen solo albums. It's safe to say that Bob knows his way around the alt rock scene, but that doesn't mean he has nothing left up his sleeves. Patch The Sky pulls on the lonely heart strings, but still manages to make each tug enjoyable.
