NSYNC (stylized as *NSYNC or ’N Sync) is an American pop boy band that became one of the most successful groups of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1995, the group consisted of Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass.

The group rose to fame with their self-titled debut album NSYNC, which produced hits like “Tearin’ Up My Heart.” Their polished pop sound, synchronized choreography, and strong vocal harmonies quickly made them international stars.

*NSYNC achieved massive commercial success with albums such as No Strings Attached, which broke sales records upon release, and Celebrity. Songs like “Bye Bye Bye,” “It’s Gonna Be Me,” and “Pop” became defining tracks of the era.

Their music blends pop, R&B, and dance influences, characterized by catchy hooks, layered harmonies, and high-energy production. The group played a major role in shaping the late 1990s pop landscape alongside other major acts of the time.

After a period of intense success, the group went on hiatus in the early 2000s as members pursued solo projects, most notably Justin Timberlake’s highly successful solo career.

Despite their relatively short active run, *NSYNC’s impact on pop music and boy band culture has remained significant.

Today, *NSYNC is remembered as one of the most iconic pop groups of its era, known for record-breaking success, memorable hits, and lasting influence on pop music and performance style.
