Panic! at the Disco is an American rock band known for their theatrical style, genre-blending sound, and evolution from pop punk to pop and alternative music. Formed in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 2004, the band was originally a group project but later became primarily the solo vehicle of Brendon Urie.

They gained immediate success with their debut album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, which featured the breakout hit “I Write Sins Not Tragedies.” The album’s mix of emo, pop punk, and baroque pop elements helped them stand out in the mid-2000s alternative scene.
