Rixton were a British pop band known for their polished blend of pop, R&B, and soul influences, as well as their strong emphasis on melody and vocal harmony. Formed in Manchester, England, the group consisted of vocalist Jake Roche, guitarist Charley Bagnall, bassist Danny Wilkin, and drummer Lewi Morgan.

Rixton gained international attention with their debut single “Me and My Broken Heart,” which became a global hit and introduced them as a fresh voice in mainstream pop. The song’s catchy hook, upbeat tempo, and emotionally relatable lyrics helped it achieve significant chart success in multiple countries.

They released their debut album Let the Road, which showcased their ability to combine modern pop production with classic soul-inspired songwriting. Their music often drew comparisons to earlier pop and R&B acts, reflecting a blend of contemporary style with retro influences.

The band’s sound is characterized by clean production, melodic songwriting, and a focus on themes such as love, heartbreak, and relationships. Their accessible style and radio-friendly approach helped them connect with a broad audience.

Following their initial success, the group underwent a rebranding and later changed their name to Push Baby, marking a shift in direction and lineup. This transition reflected their desire to evolve creatively while continuing to produce music.

Today, Rixton are remembered primarily for their breakout hit and their contribution to mid-2010s pop music. Their brief but impactful presence in the charts highlighted their knack for crafting memorable songs and positioned them as part of a wave of British pop acts that found international success during that period.
