Universal Studios Hollywood Announces 2026 Mega Movie Summer Celebration
Universal Studios Hollywood is launching its second annual Mega Movie Summer, a month‑long festival that will run from June 13 to August 9, 2026. Guests will enjoy the park’s regular operating hours while experiencing themed attractions, food, merchandise and entertainment that tie into several high‑profile film releases.
The 2026 edition features five main themes: Minions & Monsters, The Odyssey, Wicked, Wicked: For Good, and the 25th anniversary of the Fast & Furious franchise. Throughout the park, photo‑op locations, character meet‑and‑greets, specialty foods and exclusive merchandise will bring each theme to life.
Fast & Furious 25th Anniversary
Hollywood & Dine has added a new menu to honor the franchise’s milestone. The Fried Elote Corn Dog—corn dog topped with lime crema, cotija, Tajín and cilantro—comes with fries. The Grill Master’s Burger features an all‑beef patty, tangy dressing, grilled onions and bell peppers, also paired with fries. A Quarter Mile Funnel Cake, layered with Oreo crumbs, chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and chocolate whipped topping, rounds out the selection.
Cocina Mexicana offers a La Familia Meal, a family‑style plate that includes eight tacos, rice, beans, chips, guacamole, salsa and four chocolate Oreo tire conchas for dessert.
Mel’s Diner, themed around Jaws, provides shark‑inspired treats such as the Shark Bait Burger (a pastrami burger), Lobster Roll, Fish & Chicken Basket and Amity Island Funnel Cake. A Lifesaver Swirl soft‑serve dessert is also available.
The Minion Cafe introduces limited‑time items for the upcoming Minions & Monsters release. Howard’s Berry Lemonade Cupcake is a pink vanilla cupcake filled with lemon curd and topped with raspberry buttercream, strawberry crunch and pink‑lemonade gummy tentacles.
