CLASSy, the seven‑member K‑pop girl group formed through MBC’s survival show My Teenage Girl, has confirmed that its new mini‑album *RE:BOOT ‘After Tears’ will be released on June 23 via online music platforms. The announcement followed an interview with the group at the headquarters of K‑Tigers Entertainment in Mapo‑gu, Seoul.

The release marks the group’s first project after transferring to K‑Tigers Entertainment and the first new music in one year and seven months since their last EP. It is described by the members as a “comeback” that also represents a redefinition of their musical identity as they mature.

The title track, “Walking While Crying Is Just Like Me,” was written by member Yoon Chaewon. In the interview, Chaewon explained that the song’s title had already been decided when she received the demo. She said the lyrics were meant to reflect the group’s narrative: “Everyone works hard, but there are times when they struggle. I wanted to write lyrics expressing that even through such hardships, we will keep going.”

When asked about the goals for the new album, leader Myung Hyungseo said, “I want to become an artist who can influence people. I hope our stories bring comfort and laughter to those feeling exhausted in their daily lives. I also want to become a widely recognized and beloved artist.” He added that the group aims to top the charts, perform on diverse stages—including international ones—and embark on a world tour. Hyungseo emphasized that a world tour would allow for creative arrangements and meaningful interactions with fans, hoping “for a day when we can create cherished memories together while enjoying the journey.”

Kim Riwon also shared her ambition: “I want to achieve first place on music shows.” She added that if the group wins a music‑show trophy, the members plan to hike to the summit and film a challenge video. The members noted that they would pursue the idea regardless of chart rankings.

In a message to fans, Park Boeun said, “After a long hiatus and moving to a new company, we prepared this comeback with a fresh start. We have many great songs, so we hope you enjoy them. Some tracks carry meaningful messages, so we hope they bring you comfort. We’ll work hard to stay active, so please support us.”

CLASSy debuted on May 5 2022 with the extended play Class Is Over and has since released several singles and an EP. The group is managed by K‑Tigers Entertainment for Korean promotions and Universal Music Japan for Japan promotions. The agency’s recent acquisition of the group follows a period of inactivity that began after their previous label’s contract ended.

The upcoming release of *RE:BOOT ‘After Tears’ therefore represents a significant milestone for CLASSy: it is their first new music in more than a year, the first project under their new agency, and the first effort to showcase a more mature sound. The group’s stated objectives—chart success, international performances, and a world tour—signal an ambition to expand their presence beyond South Korea.

As the release date approaches, fans and industry observers will be watching to see whether the group’s renewed strategy translates into commercial success and broader recognition on the global stage.
