If you’ve ever imagined hearing a Dave Matthews Band set as if you were in the front row, Nugs has just turned that vision into a reality.

On Monday, the Philadelphia‑born live‑music streaming platform announced a partnership with the Dave Matthews Band that will make official soundboard recordings of every DMB concert available to stream the day after the shows. The deal arrives as the band gears up to return to the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, for two nights on July 10 and 11.

While tickets for the Camden dates are still on sale, the new arrangement offers a fresh way for fans who can’t attend to experience the performances. Members of the Dave Matthews Band Warehouse, the band’s fan association, will receive a complimentary three‑month trial of Nugs, giving them free access to the platform’s extensive archive and exclusive offers.

“We’re thrilled to expand the Dave Matthews Band’s presence with Nugs,” said Nugs co‑founder Brad Serling. “By making audio from every show available the day after it’s played, we’re giving fans a new way to stay connected to the tour and revisit the performances that make each night unique.”

Nugs began in 1993 as a grassroots network for trading recordings of Grateful Dead and Phish concerts, with early catalog dominated by Philadelphia venues, including many from the former Spectrum. By the early 2000s the site had grown to millions of free monthly MP3 downloads and faced legal pressure from the Grateful Dead, who eventually sought a paid partnership. Phish later joined the company.

Today the company is headquartered in San Francisco, with an office in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. Its library now contains more than 25,000 live concert recordings, many with video. In addition to the Dave Matthews Band, Nugs has streaming agreements with Metallica, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Dead & Company, Goose, Billy Strings and other artists. Subscribers can access content through partnerships with Spotify, Bandcamp and SiriusXM.

The Dave Matthews Band’s 2026 summer tour began on Tuesday night at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, and will continue across the United States until early October. After the tour, the band will perform four acoustic‑focused nights with guitarist Tim Reynolds at Cancun’s Moon Palace in January.

The Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, located in Camden’s waterfront district, opened in 1995 and has hosted a variety of acts under different names, including the Waterfront Music Pavilion and BB&T Pavilion. The Dave Matthews Band performed there twice in July 2025 and will return next month.

The partnership with Nugs is part of a broader trend of live‑music streaming services offering high‑quality, official recordings to fans. Soundboard audio delivers a clearer, more detailed listening experience than crowd‑recorded versions, and the platform’s model generates revenue from on‑demand streams that supports both artists and venues.

Warehouse members who sign up for the free trial will also gain access to Nugs’ catalog of other jam‑band recordings, expanding their library beyond DMB. The trial is designed to introduce fans to the platform’s features, including the ability to purchase individual shows and receive discounts on future purchases.

The announcement was made on Monday, June 22, 2026, the same day that other entertainment outlets reported on a range of topics, from a Philadelphia woman pleading guilty to a double voting case to Coca‑Cola and Pepsi adding QR codes to cans for ingredient transparency.

As the July Camden shows approach, fans who cannot attend will have the option to stream the performances on Nugs. The platform’s collaboration with the Dave Matthews Band is expected to attract a new audience of live‑music enthusiasts and reinforce the band’s reputation for delivering unique, improvisational shows.

In short, Nugs’ partnership with the Dave Matthews Band expands the availability of official soundboard audio for the band’s summer tour, offers a free trial to Warehouse members, and continues the platform’s mission of delivering high‑quality live recordings to fans worldwide.
