Haken Announces In a Fever Dream EP, New Bassists, and European Tour After Lineup Shake-Up
Haken’s new EP, In a Fever Dream, will drop digitally on July 17, 2026, with CD and vinyl editions slated for September 18. The announcement follows the January 2026 exit of guitarist‑vocalist Charlie Griffiths and bassist‑vocalist Conner Green.
The record is built around bass work from Bryan Beller—known for his stints with Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, and Dethklok—and Adam “Nolly” Getgood, a key figure in Periphery’s sound. Co‑producer George Lever, whose credits include Loathe and Sleep Token, guided the project at Vada Studios.
A music video for the track “delirium” premiered alongside the EP news. Directed by Oliver Kember, the clip captures the record’s darker, dream‑like energy.
In a statement issued with the announcement, the band described the writing process as “completely honest,” noting that the songs draw on real experiences, doubts, and emotions. They added that the EP pushes into new territory while keeping the intensity that defines Haken, and that it captures a moment of the band “finding their feet again – moving forward, taking risks, and creating from a place that feels as genuine as we have ever been.”
In a Fever Dream contains five tracks: 1. “in a fever dream” 2. “delirium” 3. “eclipsed by you” 4. “bleeding sky” 5. “lotus” The total runtime is approximately 26 minutes, making it Haken’s first release in more than three years.
Following the EP’s launch, Haken will embark on a European tour with IHLO. The run begins on September 23 in Barcelona’s Salamandra and ends on October 15 in Copenhagen’s Vega, with stops in Aarau, Paris, Cologne, Munich, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Milan, Rome, Berlin, Warsaw, Tampere, Turku, Helsinki, Oslo, and Copenhagen.
The lineup change that paved the way for this EP was announced on January 5, 2026. The band confirmed that Griffiths and Green had left “with heavy hearts,” describing the split as amicable and thanking the former members for their contributions to Haken’s history.
Beller’s background—spanning work with Joe Satriani, The Aristocrats, and Dethklok—and Getgood’s dual role as producer and performer for Periphery mark a notable shift in Haken’s recording approach. Their participation is highlighted in the EP’s pre‑release singles.
Lever’s production role is significant because his experience with progressive and experimental acts such as Loathe and Sleep Token helped sharpen the band’s vision for the EP, according to the band’s statement.
The release follows Haken’s 2023 single “Bleeding Sky,” issued amid the same lineup changes. The EP’s launch therefore marks a key milestone in the band’s ongoing evolution after the departure of long‑time members.
With the EP’s digital release set for July 17 and the physical formats to follow in September, Haken positions the project as a bridge between its past and future. The accompanying European tour will allow the band to showcase the new material live while engaging with fans across the continent.
The EP and tour reaffirm Haken’s commitment to progressive metal, even as the group adapts to personnel changes and explores fresh creative directions.
