Andien, the Indonesian pop and jazz singer, released her ninth studio album, Sehidup Semusik, on June 26, 2026. The 13‑track record was made available across digital streaming platforms and marks the culmination of nearly two years of production work.

The album’s title, which translates roughly to “Alive and Sound,” reflects the artist’s view that music is a shared language that connects people. In interviews, Andien said the project is her most personal to date, drawing on memories of making mixtapes in high school and blending nostalgia with new sounds.

Sehidup Semusik features a mix of genres that showcase the artist’s versatility. The lead single, “Naksir,” was produced by the pop songwriting trio Laleilmanino. Jazz musicians Nikita Dompas and Ali Akbar Sugiri contributed to “Merona Rasa” and “Jika Nanti Kita Lupa,” respectively. The second single, “Manusia Favorit,” was produced by Lafa Pratomo, while “Jatuh Pelan” was produced by Agus Kristianto of Swugafunk.

The title track, “Sehidup Semusik,” was produced by Dipha Barus, who has worked with Andien on previous releases. New collaborators include Kenny Gabriel, who produced the synth‑pop track “Cosmic Romantic,” and the production team S/EEK, who handled “Ujung‑ujungnya Kamu,” written by Clara Riva. Electronic producer Kareem Soenharjo appears on three tracks—“Mata Ketiga,” “Intro,” and “Nonchalant.” The latter two songs feature Andien’s two sons, Kawa and Tabi, and her husband, Irfan Wahyudi.

The album’s lyrical themes revolve around different stages of love. Songs such as “Naksir,” “Cosmic Romantic,” and “Jatuh Pelan” capture the excitement of falling in love, while “Manusia Favorit,” “Ujung‑ujungnya Kamu,” and “Jika Nanti Kita Lupa” explore the comfort and peace found in a lasting relationship.

Andien has been active in the Indonesian music scene for 26 years. She has balanced roles as a singer, mother of two, wife, entrepreneur, and television judge while continuing to produce music. In a statement released with the album, she noted that the creative process involved a higher level of personal involvement than in previous projects, from concept development to final production.

The album’s release follows Andien’s 25th‑anniversary concert, where she performed with a full orchestra, and her recent collaboration with the dance music collective Diskoria. The diversity of production partners and musical styles on Sehidup Semusik represents one of the most varied projects in her catalog.

Sehidup Semusik is currently available on major streaming services and can be purchased through online retailers. The album’s launch adds to Andien’s discography, which includes eight prior studio albums and several singles that have charted on Indonesian radio and streaming charts.

The project’s emphasis on personal storytelling and genre blending aligns with broader trends in Indonesian pop, where artists increasingly experiment with jazz, electronic, and synth‑pop elements while maintaining a distinct vocal identity.

As of the release date, the album has not yet entered international charts, but it has received coverage from local media outlets such as Observer ID, Merah Putih, and Pikiran Rakyat, which highlighted the album’s nostalgic concept and musical diversity.
