Chiodos Return With New Single "TAPDAT" and Sign to SharpTone Records
After a decade of silence, American post‑hardcore outfit Chiodos dropped its first new track in 12 years on July 21, 2026. The single, “TAPDAT,” was released alongside a statement that the Michigan‑based band has inked a new recording contract with SharpTone Records.
The move follows a wave of reunion shows that began in 2024, when the group staged a sold‑out North American tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album All’s Well That Ends Well. The tour was followed by high‑profile appearances at Warped Tour, Louder Than Life, and other festivals, and the band issued a newly recorded anniversary edition of the 2005 release. Owens told reporters that the single is a stepping stone toward a larger vision: "There is still so much work to be done to build out the world of Chiodos. TAPDAT is the first step in that direction," he said. "Its return to our ethos is what drew me back to creating with this band, and you can feel it throughout every minute of the song.
