Greenvilles Fall for Greenville Festival Set to Host 200,000 Visitors With Record-Breaking Food and Music Lineup
The festivities will ignite on Thursday night, October 8, with a complimentary kickoff concert that runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Spinx Market West End stage, situated at the intersection of Main and Augusta Streets. The opening lineup features local indie‑rock act Middlehaze at 5 p.m., the Virginia Americana trio Palmyra at 6:30 p.m., and Charleston‑based rock group Stop Light Observations from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., setting the tone for the weekend’s musical offerings.
Foodies will find more than 60 restaurants and food trucks lining the festival grounds, including 12 brand‑new vendors. A total of 340 menu items will be on offer, with Food Truck Row on West McBee Avenue hosting 13 trucks and trailers. Fans of local favorites such as Cantina 76, City Tavern, Coffee Underground, Limoncello, and Soby’s can look forward to their signature dishes. Perses Biryani Indian Grill will celebrate its fifth consecutive appearance, while New Realm Brewing Co. will debut, providing mini beef sliders and wings.
Musical programming will span seven stages and feature 90 national, regional, and local musicians, more than half of whom hail from the Upstate. Headliners include The Pheobes Band, Dani Rucker, Shayna Steele, and River Shook, complemented by a rotating roster of DJ sets. A full schedule will be released on September 9, and a Spotify playlist featuring the artists will be available throughout the festival.
Attendance is free and ticketless; booths will accept major credit and debit cards. Festival gift cards can be pre‑purchased online, with a promotion offering $5 free for every $50 spent, available until October 7. Parking is available in City of Greenville garages for an all‑day rate of $10, and Greenville High School will provide free parking from 5 p.m. on Friday, October 9. The Greenlink trolley will operate all weekend for pickup and drop‑off.
Road closures will commence Thursday, October 8 at 7 a.m. and remain in effect on Friday, October 9 at 10 a.m. Roads will reopen Sunday night after the festival ends, pending approval from the Greenville Police Department. A map of closures is posted on the festival website.
Bank of America Upstate South Carolina president Chip McLeod emphasized that the festival “showcases the very best of what makes our region unique.” Greenville tourism administrator Anna Catherine Miller added that the event “is an opportunity to put Greenville on a national platform.”
