Melody Place Strengthens Leadership with Industry Veterans Bob Reeves and Liz Kiley
Founded in 2018 by Chairman Leigh Shockey, Melody Place has earned a reputation as a boutique record and publishing company that prioritises a curated roster and an artist‑first philosophy. The new hires are intended to broaden the label’s promotional reach and marketing capabilities as it continues to support its lineup of frontline artists.
Reeves brings more than 25 years of experience in music‑promotion management. He has led radio‑promotion teams at Warner Music Nashville, Reviver Entertainment Group and Riser House Entertainment. Throughout his career, Reeves has cultivated relationships between country‑music radio professionals and artists, contributing to multiple Gold and Platinum records and chart successes. His track record includes increasing the impact of several country hits.
Kiley is a veteran entertainment executive whose background spans music, television and radio. Her previous positions include marketing, programming and streaming roles at Universal Music Group, MTV Networks/Viacom and The Box Network. A Leadership Music alumna and former board member, Kiley has built a career at the intersection of programming, marketing, operations and artist‑driven storytelling. Her work has earned her industry recognitions and awards.
"The combined wisdom of Bob Reeves and Liz Kiley provides Melody Place with a treasure trove of context, leadership, and vision," said President and GM Sandy McGraw. "They’ve each reached pinnacles that others spend their entire careers striving for, and I’m thrilled and humbled that they’ve joined us on our journey to put art and the artists first."
Melody Place’s roster includes country singer Sara Evans, American Idol winner Pia Toscano, American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee, Broadway‑starlet Jasmine Amy Rogers, country artist Braden Hull and classical‑crossover vocalist Jackie Evancho. The label has also ventured into theatrical releases, co‑producing the Broadway musical BOOP! with 16‑time Grammy Award winner David Foster and issuing its Original Cast Recording.
In partnership with the Dan Seals Estate, Melody Place released the 18‑track duet tribute album Dan Seals & Friends: The Last Duet. The project showcases the label’s willingness to explore diverse formats beyond traditional studio albums.
Reeves and Kiley’s appointments come as Melody Place continues to expand its catalog and market presence. The label’s focus on artist‑first practices means that promotional and marketing strategies will be closely aligned with the creative vision of its signed acts.
The hires are effective immediately. While no new releases are scheduled for the immediate future, the label’s ongoing projects—including the BOOP! cast recording and the Dan Seals tribute album—will benefit from the expanded promotional and marketing infrastructure.
Melody Place’s leadership changes reinforce its commitment to supporting artists through tailored promotion and strategic marketing, positioning the label to further solidify its reputation as a distinctive independent player in Nashville’s music scene.
